After starting out as a temporary worker in the pallet transport sector, he has built up his skills over the years to master the various branches of aviation and air freight.

A qualified specialist

During his first eight years in the business, Mr Karadag gained the following qualifications:

  • Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) 7.6, category 10

  • Approved manufacturer (aircraft pallets)

  • Ramp operations agent

  • Passenger and cargo flights

Experience with all types of aircraft

Mr Karadag has had the opportunity to work on all kinds of equipment.

  • Airbus A320.

  • Etc.

Today, these various aircraft models hold no secrets for him. Over the years, he has been able to palletise, load and unload all these models as a builder, multi-skilled worker, and even a team leader in charge of loading and unloading cargo and passenger aircraft.

Experience as a bunker manager

After broadening his experience, Mr Karadag took on a new challenge: becoming a loadmaster.

With his success, he subsequently took on the job of load controller. His job was to monitor cargo palletisation in compliance with IATA standards (air transport of animals) and the segregation required for the air transport of dangerous goods, which varies from one company to another. In this role, he was entrusted with every confidence, eventually being put in charge of the "headset" for these aircraft and shipments.

He was able to supervise the loading of the aircraft, following the transport safety rules specific to the aircraft and the crew. His job was to produce the weight and balance, as well as complete all the other documentation required for transport.

Experience as a Duty Supervisor

The knowledge Mr Karadag has acquired over the course of his long career means that he is a vital part of the business, providing the best possible supervision for his teams and facilitating their tasks.

Mr Karadag has successfully completed the following assignments

  • Planned, guided and coordinated various tasks within the Cargo, Ramp and Passenger Baggage departments, optimising available resources.
     

  • Monitored and ensured quality and service levels during daily operations.
     

  • Intervened on the ground when quality and service levels were compromised.
     

  • Improved the efficiency, quality and performance of operations while maintaining compliance with safety and quality rules.
     

  • Planned daily cargo handling services based on a variety of variables, adjusted schedules, and allocation of tasks as required.
